welcome back to the logbook, a monthly series where i share what my own training actually looks like. you get a real-time look at how i set my goals, adjust my training, and track my progress along the way as a personal trainer.

if you missed edition 01, you can catch up here.

i’m a little late with this edition, but i promise i have a good reason. i took two weeks off during this training block: one during my vacation, and another one right after, because i wasn’t feeling well. instead of sending you a update when i wasn’t really halfway, i decided to extend the block by two weeks, picking up exactly where i stopped, and to wait until i had real numbers to share with you.

in the first edition, i told you i’d rather make the plan work for me than force myself to follow it at all costs. i didn’t expect to put that into practice so soon. when i got sick, i stopped and gave myself the time i needed to recover, instead of pushing through just for the sake of sticking to a plan. and that was only the first adjustment, because the plan itself needed more changes than i expected.

in the last edition, i shared my goal for this block: becoming a faster runner while maintaining the muscle i’ve built over the years. so it’s time to catch you up on what’s happened since then, what worked, what didn’t, and how i’ve adjusted my goals and training along the way.

let’s get into it.
