first things first: in this post you won’t find any miracle supplement, any trend diet or a routine with 65 different steps. this isn’t a post packed with affiliate links designed to make you spend money either, very often on things that have no evidence behind them at all.

what i want to do here is pretty simple. first, share everything i actually do to stay healthy, keep a strong body and take care of my skin at 43. second, show you that yes, it’s possible to build the body you want, feel good about yourself and live a full life, whatever your age. and third, show you that most of the habits that really improve your life cost a lot less than you imagine.

at 43, i’m in the best phase of my life, and a big part of that comes from three things: adopting a healthy lifestyle, investing in health professionals to guide me and, above all, putting into practice a simple routine that fits my real life. the one with work, deadlines and days when i’m tired, not the one you see in a morning routine video.

a quick disclaimer: in this post i share my personal experience and what works for me. please don’t take it as medical advice or as an absolute truth. even though everything i publish is based on evidence, some of my choices are personal preferences, based on what i tested and what worked for me.

how i decide what goes into my routine

i want to explain this before anything else, because it shapes every choice you’ll read below. nothing gets into my routine without passing through a pretty strict filter. i look at the effort it asks of me compared to the benefit it brings, at the evidence behind the idea or the product (especially with beauty products and supplements, where marketing is very loud), at how much it costs and, finally, at whether it’s something i’ll be able to keep doing in the long run. when something fails one of these tests, it usually doesn’t stay very long.

something else that really matters to me, especially when it comes to health, is working with qualified professionals, whether that’s a dietitian, a dermatologist, or a therapist. i know that’s not possible for everyone, and if it isn’t for you right now, the next best thing is to get your information from reliable sources. at the end of this post, i’ll explain how you can filter information better, so you can stay away from charlatans and from influencers who only want to sell you useless products.
