a no-bs guide to building an athletic, strong body from zero: how to eat to fuel your training, lift around the seven movement patterns, and build the habits that actually make it stick.
my fav quick meal: put your veg (preferably including tomatoes to make a healthy smooth sauce!), tofu and chickpeas on a sheet pan and put the oven on grill, done in 20 minutes. Can add some basil and mozzarella. Works well with gnocchi as carbs, too :)
I agree . Here are my thoughts on some tweaks(if u care)
But I think u are trying to target two contradictory audiences at once
1) the complete beginner: person starting from zero. Maybe started a few times and gave up. Habit and consistency is not established
2)group slightly above total zero..ie they have no idea about optimization, diet, movement patterns but have. Ahabit of showing up everyday even if they do random stuff.
Your article is useful to group 2.
But for a comeplete beginner thinkign about correct optimization and stuff opens a tutorial hell(computer programmers would be familiar with this term). Ie researching and optimziisng their workouts.
Whiel struggling to show up 3 days a week
I am only saying this cause I myself lost months to even a year due to this.
Thr only thing that worked was first established the habit of showing up by follwoing q random 30 programme ina geernic app. Full Body not thinking about soreness, diset or if i am doing it optimally or not
Once habit established ,optimization was the easier part
I feel like most people reading this fall in the first group.
For what it's worth, when I first started working out, I'd generally only do 1 or 2 days a week. And even with that, as a beginner, I saw noticeable progress for months and months. So even something small is worth doing!
